Powering On
I've been blessed enough to be offered free use of my physio's gym as often as I'd like which I'm just thrilled about.
I feel so lucky to have been given this angel who helps me so much to wage my battle against my failing body. I often wonder if there's any thankyou which truly describes how grateful I am. I have been taking advantage of this opportunity and have been going every day, if not every 2nd day depending on how my body's holding up.
He's been so thrilled with my progress. I've been powering on for well over 2 hours each session with at least 1 1/2 hours of cardio and the rest is spent doing my reps to build my core muscles.
I'm finding muscles I never knew I'd had and am slowly but surely feeling stronger.
As the old saying goes "Every rose has it's thorn"... I was standing in the kitchen getting ready to head out to the gym yesterday and my leg gave way under me again. I somehow managed to sprain my ankle in the process and fall on my face on the floor! I've got a really sore and swollen foot and terrribly bruised leg and arm from the stunt as well!
Oh well. These things are sent to test us. I must say, in the scheme of the pain I'm enduring, this isn't really bothering me. I'll be going in to the physio tomorrow so I'll ask him to strap it up and keep going business as usual. Looking forward to sweating and getting back into it again tomorrow.
Off to bed for now.
Lis.

Eeek! Take care of yourself, won't you? I'm just blown away by the exercise you're managing to do given the challenges you face!
