Lisa x 2

Caught up with my new buddy Lisa1972 today, had some great larfs, helped her spend loads of money on patchworking stuff, had lunch then went home.

We made the girl at Spotlight laugh when we put all our things we wanted to buy on the counter at once.

She asked "Are you two together?" My reply: "No, we're just friends". We all nearly wet ourselves laughing.

Here's us...

I am the strongest person ALIVE!!!!!!!!

Got up this morning in agony with the dreaded back so decided to bite the bullet and head down to the pools again.Felt wonderful the minute I hit the water so went for my obligatory laps.

Got to 10 laps without a break and was high 5 'ing my self and thought "I could do that again" so headed off for some more.

I ended up almost entranced swimming back and forth counting laps, planning things I need to do this week, wondering where the hell the backing to the remote is, all that stuff. Before I knew it I was up to THIRTY laps!

I stopped for a few seconds and thought I'd better stop then I thought well why should I if I've still got the energy to keep going?I powered on to 38 laps and looked at my arms and they were shaking like I had Parkinsons LOL

Made myself go the extra 2 laps and finally dragged myself out of the pool after FORTY x 50m laps.I am SO incredibly proud of myself now. It took me nearly 2 hours of continuous swimming with no more than a few seconds rest in between laps.Girls/guys, if I can do this with the back I have, I can assure you with everything in me YOU can do it too. Head out there doing the things you like doing the best and bust open your own personal best.

Like I read somewhere a few days ago, you'll never hear someone say after they've finished exercising that they don't enjoy the feeling that comes with it.

Woo hoo! 2 mini goals down in one day!

Went to tribal council expecting the worst and hoping for the best this week. You know the days when you feel like you're heavier than when you first started? That's me today.

1.4 kg loss!! MOST impressed. This now brings me over my second 4 kilo mini goal and also under the 40 kg mark to lose!

Oh yes... for those who are wanting another visual aid, here's what 8.4 kg looks like.
Ever tried lifting one of these machines PLUS a can of dog food for too long? LOL

A loss is a loss no matter how you look at it

Here's what 7kg looks like

Had a full on week this week.

Cycled til I burst a 'foofer valve' four days this week and changed where I rode twice as well. Added a few more hills and different terrains as well as enjoying some more lovely scenery.

I clocked in under points each day and didn't spend my exercise points at all. All-in-all, I'm pretty proud of my progress so far and also for this week as whole.

As my total loss has a denominator of four, my mini goals are for every four kilos lost. I've achieved one and now have a loss of 7kg so I'm really going to try to push to hit 8kg next week!

Before weigh in tonight, I thought I'd check my wardrobe full of all sizes for any jeans that I may be close to fitting into. My current jeans look like they were previously owned by Krusty the Clown. I pulled out a pair of jeans I haven't been able to wear for over 4 years and they fitted!!! Now when I say 'fit', I don't mean that because I could do them up that means they fit.... No. I mean, they felt comfortable and I'm able to actually wear them! Pretty chuffed about that.

Weighed in hoping for a 1kg+ loss but was a little disappointed to see that I'd lost 0.3kg. Nevertheless, as above, a loss is a loss no matter how you look at it.

Here's to another week and another loss!

Successful week for this little black duck!

Well I have some great news to report this week. After a woeful gain last week on the scales, I'm pleased to say that I lost another 1.6kg!

Must say it was a lovely surprise and has spurred me on to bigger and better losses in the weeks to come.

Have had friends commenting on how I've lost and that my face and tummy are noticably skinnier.

Oh yeah, and the good ol' tapemeasure told me some lovely things too. 59.5cm total loss!

Make way.... Mother of SRC Captain!!!

Well after a woeful week last week, I'm determined this week will be a better one!

My daughter and I went in for our infusions last week which left me feeling absolutely dreadful once again. I spent the next 3 days all teary and beside myself. I really feel like I've been poisoned when they put it in me.

Thankfully, I'm feeling better, the fever's gone and my all over bone pain has dramatically decreased. Now all I need to worry about is this damn back of mine...

Managed to drag myself to weigh in the next day after hospital and found I'd put on 500g. I went home and just cried.

I'm alright about it now. Been losing every week so I guess a 500g gain once isn't a big deal... I'll go spaz if I put on again this week.

Anyway, I went to my daughter's school assembly this morning to see her being awarded Grade 6 Student Representative Council captain's badge for this year. It was awarded to her by the our MP.

SO proud of her, I am. Can't tell you how much I love that dear sweet girl. She's my sunshine in my day.
